ZIEMER LDV Z2 FEMTOSECOND LASER

The LDV Z2 Femtosecond Laser is the latest laser from ZIEMER. We chose this laser because it is the most efficient and safe, and enables preparation of the cornea for the treatment of myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and presbyopia with the Laser Excimer Ténéo 317. It is of course possible to deal with several of these impairments at the same time.

Thanks to the concentration of the latest cutting-edge technologies, both eyes are treated the same day with extremely rapid visual recovery. Discover the benefits of correcting vision with the Z-LASIK laser.

FEMTOSECOND LASER: OPTIMAL SAFETY

Z-LASIK is the most technologically advanced procedure, based on the experience of more than 2,000,000 procedures. It is entirely designed and manufactured in Switzerland which guarantees exceptional reliability.

SPEED

The laser makes it possible to carry out the entire procedure without the patient having to move from one laser to another and to wait, more often than not, between the procedure for cutting the flap and treatment with the Excimer laser. The time to operate on both eyes is 6 minutes.

ULTRA-FAST SIGHT RECOVERY

Thanks to the very precise cutting of the corneal flap, vision is recovered after a few hours, unlike a PRK or Trans PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) where the surface of the cornea is abraded manually or with the aid of a laser. In cases of myopia, recovery takes place between 1 and 4 hours after the intervention. In hypermetropia, near vision recovers in 1 hour and far vision between 24 and 48 hours.

EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS

The high precision of the laser, to the order of a hundredth of a millimetre, allows the corneal flap to be cut very quickly (20 to 25 seconds per eye) and increases the quality of the cut. The tiny light pulses generate the smooth surface necessary for optimal vision correction in the corneal tissue. See the treatment procedure with the Ziemer LDV Z2 Femtosecond laser.

Advantages of the Ziemer LDV Z2 Femtosecond Laser compared to a PRK or Transprk

Treatment with the Femtosecond Laser makes it possible to correct both eyes on the same day at the same operating time. The procedure is quick and painless. With PRK or TransPRK, visual recovery is much slower and entails severe pain for a minimum of 48 hours to more than a week. Visual recovery takes between 8 and 21 days. This technique does not correct presbyopia except in the case of basic monocular treatment. This is why, except in exceptional cases, we do not practice PRK or TransPRK.
